Honduran Educational Stats

In the United States, we value our children’s free access to student-centered curriculum developed by college educated teachers within clean, safe schools.  The vast majority of children in Honduras do not have these same privileges, since most children are educated by teachers with little to no formal training, in schools without even
the most essential items.  Children’s books, sports equipment, musical instruments, art materials, and learning manipulatives are luxury items that most schools cannot afford.  Lunch is served at many schools, but may only consist of a daily serving of beans and a small tortilla.  Please help us provide a better educational environment for Honduran teachers and students by contributing to Heart in Education Teacher Outreach.
