Q: How long is the plane ride?

A: Approx 4 hours in the air from Indianapolis to Tegucigalpa

Q:  What is the food like?

A:  While in Honduras you may gain weight. Tthe food is INCREDIBLE!  The women who cook for us are wonderful and do an amazing job of preparing us three full meals a day.  If you have food allergies or have certain restrictions (i.e.  vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant…) let us know. You will not go hungry.

Q:  What is a typical day like?

A:  A typical itinerary is Coming Soon

Q:  What if I need to leave or come home a day early?

A:  While we want you to enjoy the entire week with us, we also understand things can not be changed or missed here at home.  Let us know and chances are we can work around your schedule.

Q:  Is the food and water safe? Should I be concerned about crime?

A:  In the nine times the executive director has traveled to Honduras, she has never had anything more than one day near the toilet.  All the food that is cooked for us is safe to eat.  While it is not advised to drink the water from the tap, there are two water coolers at the project for use. Crime is a problem in Teguc and in Honduras, however we have never encountered a problem with any person or animal.  We are never without a Honduran guide and we are always well- protected.  Common sense and knowledge of customs and the culture are important to know and is something that we will take VERY seriously.
